TELES at VON 06: Cluster Technology high on the agenda
Cluster technology for media gateway controllers will be high on the agenda for TELES at this year´s VON Europe event (6-8 November). The Berlin-based VoIP and Next Generation Networks (NGN) telecoms solution provider, which has already successfully carried out high profile deployments of its NGN migration solution in Europe, will be devoting considerable focus to cluster technology in its TELES.MGC product line.
According to TELES Product Marketing Director Thomas Haydn, TELES.MGC is a"scalable five nines carrier-grade media gateway controller cluster solution" for more than 120,000 concurrent calls, which allows "wholesale and retail long-distance networks to be migrated to VoIP-based next generation networks, smoothly fulfilling the array of NGN scenarios in carrier environments."
TELES.MGC fulfils a number of different business application scenarios including NGN backbone, multi-protocol/multi-carrier interconnection and fully-fledged NGN broadband and subscriber services solution uses.
The IP industry event has added interest this year for TELES, as Europe´s largest and most influential IP expo brings itself to Berlin. TELES Marketing VP Eyal Ullert said:
"As the sine qua non of the European IP industry, we are delighted to take part in VON Europe, but this year has added significance for us as the event is taking place on our own doorstep in Berlin. We are particularly proud of our cluster media gateway technology, which will form a central part of TELES business activities in 2007. The European IP communications industry event brings together the major players from the fixed, wireless and broadband service provider sectors to address the communications transformations already being brought about by VoIP, and those yet to come with the advent of IP convergence.
VON Europe's tremendous growth in recent years - from 1,000 executives from 38 countries in London in 2004, to almost 4,000 from approaching 70 countries in Stockholm in 2006 - has seen it establish itself as the pinnacle event of the European IP business calendar. Thomas Haydn agrees, noting that "VON is all about building communities to network and create and find new ways forward - values which we at TELES also hold dear as part of our ongoing commitment to technological innovation."
