TELES Announces Co-Sponsorship of ArabTELSAT 2007 in Oman
German VoIP and next generation networks (NGN) telecoms solutions provider TELES has announced that it will be co-sponsoring this year’s ArabTELSAT conference and exhibition as part of its continued Middle East (ME) expansion plans.
The Berlin-based company, which has laid down firm foundations across the Middle East since the creation of its dedicated ME business in 2005, will be attending the event for the first time. The NGN vendor and turnkey solutions provider is co-sponsoring this year’s ArabTELSAT to mark roll-out of its NGN solutions to the Oman market.
According to TELES, its TELES.MGC solution is one of the most highly scalable carrier-grade platforms for new greenfield network build and network operator TDM and traditional PSTN network migration to next generation IP networks available on the market. The media gateway controller and full-featured class 4 softswitch provides operators with a “future-proof investment” paving the way forward to the converged world.
The solution “fulfils a number of diverse NGN scenarios for exceptional calls per second performance in multi-vendor environments,” said TELES VP Sales (EMEA) Laszlo Bognar, making it the “solution of choice for those operators either seeking to build a new network, replace a common TDM backbone with NGN components or interconnect with different carriers.”
In other news, TELES has also announced that it has become a member of the SAMENA Telecommunications Council as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting telecoms innovation collaboration and knowledge-sharing for the creation of world-class global telecoms solutions.
“We’re delighted to send out a positive sign of our ongoing commitment to the ME market by becoming a SAMENA member and co-sponsoring this year’s ArabTELSAT,” said TELES ME Regional Sales Manager Frank Koyro. “We’re totally committed to this extremely important market which is why we have chosen to co-sponsor this year’s ArabTELSAT to mark the roll-out of our carrier-grade NGN solution in the Sultanate of Oman.
