Why Mobile Gateways?
Why Mobile Gateways?
Reduce expenses
mobile-to-mobile calls via the ECOTEL® gateway, you can take advantage of more desirable rate plans (e.g. flat rate, VPN).
Employees like it when they can forward their office extension to a mobile phone. However, this can generate significant added costs for the company. A GSM gateway simply replaces expensive forwarded calls from the fixed network to different mobile radio networks with more cost-effective in-network mobile radio calls.
All in all, ECOTEL® GSM gateways from TELES make it possible to significantly reduce your monthly telephone expenses even assuming very simple conditions.
Mobile integration
ECOTEL® GSM gateways allow cost-effective connection of mobiles to a PBX and provide customary
PBX features such as call forwarding and conference calling on the mobile phone. This eliminates the need for expensive
DECT infrastructures.
ECOTEL® ISDN and ECOTEL® VoIP provide Mobile Integration functionality as standard feature. It is not necessary to purchase additional expensive licences or software for your ECOTEL® gateway.
Last mile connectivity (wireless local loop, WLL)
ECOTEL® GSM gateways can be used to connect service vehicles, recreational vehicles, boats and weekend homes to telecommunications
networks. ECOTEL® gateways allow connection of telephones, fax machines and PCs, eliminating the need for a fixed line.
Business continuity (fallback solution)
When the fixed network fails, the gateway can reroute all of a company"s communications different GSM networks.
Additional benefits
- PC-based transmission of SMS messages (via a simple e-mail)
- PBX expansion
It is expensive in many cases to equip an existing PBX with additional trunk lines. Expansion based on additional GSM channels is more cost-effective in many cases. The GSM channels also help to save money when making calls involving mobile radio networks.
